Covid Positive Woman delivers baby successfully at Dist Hospital Chandel

District Hospital Chandel on Friday evening successfully conducted delivery of one Covid positive patient. Sharmila aged 34 years from Maribung village Chandel district gave birth to a baby girl at 7:47 pm according to report from the hospital.

The delivery team was headed by Dr. Ojit along with senior nurse Shantimala and Veronica. They were assisted and attended by Reena, Chanchal and Sorthing. The baby girl weights 3.5 kg and is said to be in a normal condition according to the doctor.

It is worth mentioning that Sharmila was tested Covid-19 positive on July 25 and was under home isolation along with her husband and four other children.

The medical team under CMO Chandel rendered a selfless service towards Sharmila by picking her through an ambulance from her residence at Maribung village and brought her to District Hospital on Friday.
