Retired Army Officer Lt Gen (R) Nishikanta Singh Appointed Advisor to Manipur CM

UKHRUL: The Manipur government has appointed Lt. Gen. (Retd.) L. Nishikanta Singh as Advisor (Coordination) to the Chief Minister with immediate effect.

An order issued by the Department of Personnel and Administrative Reforms on Wednesday said the decision was taken during the Cabinet meeting held on February 17.

The retired Army officer will serve for a period of one year in public interest.

Details regarding his honorarium and other service conditions will be notified separately in consultation with the Finance Department (PIC).

Taking to X, Lt. Gen. (Retd.) L. Nishikanta Singh wrote: “Indeed very thrilled to share that I’ve been appointed Advisor to the Chief Minister!”
