UKHRUL: The B/11 Battalion of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) organised a Civic Action Programme at EMRS, Tokpa Kabui, in Churachandpur district on Tuesday, according to a press release issued by the force.
The CRPF said the programme was organised with the aim of strengthening mutual harmony, trust and cooperation between the local community and security forces.

Addressing local youth and villagers, Chandra Shekhar, commandant, 8th Battalion, CRPF, emphasised the importance of mutual cooperation, community participation and collective efforts in nation-building, the release said.
As part of the programme, handlooms, solar lanterns, sewing machines and other essential items were distributed among needy villagers and local youth in the presence of Anil Kumar and Dilip Malik, second-in-command; Pramod Sirsat, deputy commandant; and inspector Ramanand Singh, OC-B/11 Battalion.
Gaipuibi Kamei, chief and chairman of the Tokpa Kabui Village Authority, along with members of the village authority and the Village Youth Club, also attended the programme.

According to the release, village representatives and local residents appreciated the initiative and described it as a commendable effort in the interest of the local community.
The programme concluded with a message of national unity, peace, mutual understanding and continued cooperation between security forces and the local population, the CRPF said.
