CRPF Pays Tribute to Martyr Hauthianlam at Lingsiphai, Churachandpur

Churachandpur, August 4: The 32 Battalion of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) on Sunday held a solemn wreath-laying ceremony at Lingsiphai village in Churachandpur district, Manipur, in honour of martyr CT/BUG Hauthianlam, who laid down his life in the line of duty on August 4, 2004, in Srinagar, Jammu & Kashmir.

The ceremony was organized under the aegis of Rajendra Narayan Das, IPS, Inspector General of the Manipur & Nagaland Sector, CRPF, Imphal, and Arun Kumar Meena, Commandant of 32 Bn, CRPF. The event served as a poignant reminder of the courage and sacrifice of the martyr, who served the nation with exceptional bravery and dedication.

Assistant Commandant Edward F. Sungte led the tribute on behalf of the 32 Battalion, along with members of the martyr’s family and personnel from the unit. Floral tributes were offered, and a photo frame of the martyr was formally handed over to his family as a gesture of respect and remembrance.

The CRPF reiterated its commitment to honouring the sacrifices of its personnel and expressed solidarity with the bereaved family. “The nation stands in solidarity with the family and salutes the ultimate sacrifice made in service of the country,” the CRPF stated.
