Imphal, September 2, 2024: Early Monday morning, the body of an unidentified man was found floating in the Thoubal River near Yairipok Tulihal Konjin Leikai, under the jurisdiction of Andro Police Station in Imphal East District. Local residents discovered the body around 5:30 AM and promptly notified the authorities.

The deceased, who was dressed in combat attire and wore a watch on his left wrist, presented a peculiar case, with one side of his hair appearing to be burned. The body showed signs of decomposition, suggesting that the man may have been dead for some time.
The identity of the deceased remains unknown. Police have taken custody of the body and are conducting an investigation to determine the cause of death and establish the man’s identity.
