CHURACHANDPUR: Dengue has claimed yet another life in Churachandpur, with a woman succumbing to the viral infection on Monday, marking the second dengue-related death reported in the district this year.
The deceased has been identified as Lily Lhingboiniang, wife of Pa Chinsianlam AE V. Munhoi. She was reportedly diagnosed with dengue and typhoid and was admitted to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of the Churachandpur District Hospital.
Despite receiving treatment, she was declared dead on Monday.
Her mortal remains have been kept at the district hospital, and her last rites will be performed after her relatives arrive in the district.
