Ukhrul, September 2: The District Administration of Churachandpur on Tuesday organised the Sampoornata Abhiyan Samman Samaroh at the District Training Centre, Tuibong, to recognise the contributions of frontline workers, Self-Help Groups (SHGs), and officials in achieving saturation in key development indicators under the Sampoornata Abhiyan.
Deputy Commissioner Dharun Kumar S., who attended the event as Chief Guest, praised the efforts of officials from Lamka South and Tuibong blocks, along with line departments, for their role in improving quality of life and boosting economic growth in underdeveloped areas. He highlighted that Lamka South block has achieved 100% saturation in six key performance indicators, placing it among only 91 blocks nationwide to reach this milestone. Tuibong block has also recorded notable progress, achieving saturation in four out of six parameters.

During the programme, certificates of appreciation were presented to officials, individuals, and groups for their contributions towards saturation in areas including health and nutrition, education, agriculture and water resources, financial inclusion, skill development, and basic infrastructure.
The Deputy Commissioner also launched Akankha Haat, a district-level marketplace to promote local entrepreneurship and showcase products developed by SHG members. Locally made items were exhibited at the event.
The programme featured a cultural performance by students of Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya (JNV), Tuinom, reflecting the cultural vibrancy of the region. District-level officers, Village Authority representatives, Civil Society Organisations (CSOs), SHG members, and frontline workers attended the event.
