District Frontal Organizations declares to boycott “Go to Hills 2.0 in Senapati

Senapati: Joint consultative meeting of the Naga People’s Organization (NPO), Senapati District Women’s Association (SDWA) and the Senapati District Students Association (SDSA) along with its constituent units had resolved to boycott the proposed “Go to Hills 2.0” in Senapati district. This was stated in a press statement signed by the 3 Presidents of the district frontal organizations including the NPO, SDWA and SDSA.

The joint consultative meeting of the Naga People’s Organization (NPO), Senapati District Women’s Association (SDWA) and the Senapati District Students Association (SDSA) along with its constituent units held at Conference Hall of the NPO on October 26 resolved to re-endorse and re-affirm the stand of September 24, 2021 and the NPO Presidential Council meeting Resolution No. 2.

The demand to convene a special assembly session of Manipur Legislative Assembly to table the Manipur (Hill Areas) ADC Bill, 2021, recommended by the Hill Area Committee is stated to be genuine as demanded by different tribal bodies adding until such time, the state Govt program of “Go to Hills 2.0” is stated to boycott in Senapati district.

Mention may be made that this step was taken up when some tribes in the district is stated to invite the state Chief Minister to come for “Go to Hills 2.0” in the district in the recent past.
