DLC Tengnoupal Organizes Awareness Programme for MSMEs under RAMP Scheme

Tengnoupal, September 2: The District Level Committee (DLC) under the Raising and Accelerating MSME Performance (RAMP) Scheme on Tuesday organized an awareness programme for Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) along with a Udyam registration drive at Laiching Meipou Village under Machi Block.

The event, initiated under the General Manager, District Industries Centre, Manipur, was attended by prominent dignitaries, including DLC-RAMP Tengnoupal Chairperson Th. Bijoy Singh, who is also the GM of DIC Tengnoupal, Lead District Manager Ibochouba, and Dangshawa Kopham, President of LVAAC.

During the session, Th. Bijoy Singh highlighted the benefits of the RAMP project and the significance of Udyam registration for MSMEs to access various benefits. He emphasized that RAMP enhances MSME performance by improving access to finance and markets, promoting innovation and technology adoption, encouraging sustainable practices, and strengthening institutional support.

The Lead District Manager, Tengnoupal district, delivered a keynote speech on financial literacy, discussing the role of financial institutions in supporting MSMEs and facilitating access to RAMP scheme benefits. He also highlighted various flagship programmes offering loans, insurance, and opportunities.

The programme concluded with words of gratitude from DLC member Kh. Hongsha, followed by interactive sessions with resource persons and Udyam registration for participants. The event drew members of village authorities, SHG representatives, and villagers, showcasing a collective effort to empower local MSMEs.
