UKHRUL: Joheirry Mola Dominguez of the Dominican Republic was crowned Miss World 2026 at the grand finale of the 73rd edition of the international beauty pageant in Nha Trang, Vietnam, on Saturday.
Mola Dominguez, 24, emerged victorious from 111 contestants. Spain’s Elisabeth Reynes Alabern was named first runner-up, while Malaysia’s Taanusiya Chetty finished second runner-up and won the Beauty with a Purpose title.
A teacher, journalist and model, Mola holds a degree in business management and administration and teaches literature and social studies in English.
She is also the founder of Voices of Tomorrow, an initiative that promotes access to English-language education for children and young people in vulnerable communities.

Mola said she would take the crown to her students, fulfilling the first promise she made before entering the competition.
The Dominican Republic winner advanced to the final six after securing a place in the Top 40 through the Top Model challenge for the Americas and Caribbean region.
India’s Nikita Porwal made it to the Top 40 but did not advance to the Top 20.
The 2026 edition featured contestants from 111 countries and was held in Vietnam for the first time. The next edition of Miss World is scheduled to take place in Tanzania in September 2027.
