Don Bosco College, Maram Bags Chief Minister’s Award for Educational Excellence 2026

SENAPATI: Don Bosco College (Autonomous), Maram has received the chief minister’s Award for Educational Excellence 2026, an honour sponsored by the Department of University and Higher Education, Government of Manipur.

The award was presented by the Hon’ble chief minister of Manipur, Shri Yumnam Khemchand Singh, at the State-Level Teachers’ Day Celebration held at the City Convention Centre, Imphal. It was received on behalf of the College by Rev. Fr. (Dr.) K. O. Sebastian, Principal; Mr. John Britto, IQAC Coordinator; and Mr. Rajkumar, Head, Department of Biotechnology.

The College has received similar recognitions from the Department of University and Higher Education since 2023. The institution stated that the award reflects its ongoing focus on academic quality, holistic student development, and institutional improvement.

The College acknowledged the Government of Manipur and the Department of University and Higher Education for the recognition, and attributed the achievement to the contributions of its management, faculty, non-teaching staff, students, and other stakeholders.

The College said the recognition will support its continued efforts to provide quality, value-based higher education, particularly for young people in the hill regions of Manipur.
