President Droupadi Murmu to Visit Meghalaya for ICAR Golden Jubilee & Farmer’s Expo 2025

Shillong, Jan 7: President of India, Droupadi Murmu will be on a two-day visit to the state of Meghalaya to inaugurate the golden jubilee celebration of the ICAR Research Complex, Umiam and Farmer’s Expo 2025 with 100 stalls during January 9 and 10.

Informing this today, Chief Secretary DP Wahlang said, “This will happen between 11.30 am and 2.30 pm. She (President) will be landing in Umroi and will have a function in the ICAR complex. She will not be travelling to Shillong City. After the function, she will go back to Guwahati and proceed onward.”

The event will also be graced by Union Minister for Rural Development, Agriculture & Farmers Welfare Shivraj Singh Chouhan, Chief Minister Conrad K Sangma and others.
