Chandel: The District Sports Association, Chandel congratulated Th Joyshing Monsang as he cleared the Category-l Referee Fitness Test which was held on January 11 at Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh.
Th Joyshing Monsang, the 2nd son of Th Angpatin Monsang and Sharmila Monsang of Japhou Bazar, Chandel is the 1st and only Referee from Chandel District who has achieved the highest Category-I Referee of All India Football Federation, DSA Chandel stated.
Beside his refereeing career, Joyshing Monsang at present also is the Vice President of All Manipur Football Association and also holds the post of Asst. General Secretary of District Sports Association, Chandel. Joyshing as a referee has officiated many national and international football matches among which it is worth to mention that he had officiated the football matches at Tajikistan and Malaysia under Asia Football Confederation.
According to DSA Chandel, Joyshing as a registered referee of AMFA and AIF, had achieved the referee categories for 1. Cat-5 (2013), 2. Cat-4 (2015), 3.Cat-3 (2016), 4. Cat-2 (2019) and 5. Cat-1 (2022).
