Punjab National Bank hands over medical equipments worth RS 10 Lakh to District Hospital, Ukhrul

Ukhrul: Punjab National Bank on Tuesday handed over medical equipments to District Hospital, Ukhrul worth over 10 lakh under its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) activities in a simple function.

The medical equipments donated at a function at District Hospital includes Audiometer machine, ENT Operating Microscope, ECG machine, Arterial Blood Gas Analysis machine, OT Shadowless Lamp and IOPA Dental X-ray machine for medical specialists.

Stevan Aimol, Chief Manager, Punjab National Bank Imphal Circle and Mr Raj Kamal Roy, Marketing Officer, PNB and team handed over the medical equipments to the District Hospital, Ukhrul in the presence Chief Medical Officer, Ukhrul District Dr AS Kapangring and Medical Superintendent, Dr Reisangmi Raikhan and staff of District Hospital.

“I, on behalf of all the staff of District Hospital, Ukhrul and Health Department, Ukhrul District would like to express our heartfelt gratitude to the PNB for the generous donation of medical equipments worth Rs 10 Lakh under CSR activities,” said Dr Reisangmi Raikhan.

“The medical equipments donated by PNB will greatly improve the quality and standard of health care services of the hospital by closing the health infrastructure gap of the hospital. The denizens of Ukhrul District would also be directly benefited by such noble activities of the bank in the years to come in the health care sector,” he added.

Dr Reisangmi Raikhan, Medial Superintendent, DHU had in August 2021 written to the zonal head of PNB, Guwahati, proposing for up-scaling of medical facilities in the hospital under CSR contribution from the bank. The list of equipments presented in the August 2021 proposal letter were of absolute necessity in improving and enhancing the quality of health services in Ukhrul District.
