“Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam” Campaign in Ukhrul

Ukhrul: The Ukhrul District Administration organized a tree plantation drive under the “Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam” campaign at various locations across Ukhrul District on Thursday.

With a focus on increasing forest cover nationwide and promoting sustainable development, the Ukhrul District Administration initiated a social work project to plant trees at several sites in the district as part of the “Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam” campaign.

Today’s drive took place at four locations: Mini Secretariat Complex, Meizailung Tang, Shirui Village, and Ramva Village. Various departmental DDOs and their staff were assigned to these designated sites for the social work.

The tree plantation at Meizailung Tang was led by the Deputy Commissioner of Ukhrul, Kengoo Zuringla. The campaign also saw participation from the ADM of Ukhrul, Kajaigai Gangmei; CEO of ADC-Ukhrul, David Kashungnao; DFO of Ukhrul, Rajesh Dashrath Darade; CMO of Ukhrul, Dr. Kapangring A. Shimray; SDO of LM Block, A. Rohini Kumar; SDO of Chingai, Duna Duo; SDO of Ukhrul, Dinringam Kamei; SDC of Ukhrul, Riamei Jangmei, and others.
