Essential items distributed to poorest of the poor families of LM block, Ukhrul

Reaching out to the poorest of the poor families of Lungchong Meiphai block under Ukhrul district, a Mumbai based Nevis Trading & Investment Consultants Private Limited, and Caretaker Chairman of ADC Ukhrul on Friday distributed basic essential items in their bid to help them face the hardship being posed by the ongoing Covid pandemic.

Essential commodities including dal, sugar, salt and eatable oil were duly distributed to around 1000 families of the block.

Dr Yaronsho Ngalung, Caretaker chairman of ADC Ukhrul who is also the president of We The People Foundation, a National Human Rights Organisation said that it was purely a way of reaching out to the poorest of the poor families of LM block in this difficult times. “It may be less but I hope and prayed they received it with an open heart and does them some good.”

He also thanked Nevis Trading & Investment Consultants Pvt.Ltd. Mumbai for their good samaritan act.

It had also distributed essential items to around 1200 families in Ukhrul headquarters including Hungpung.
