FC Fulloh clinches 2nd Division District League title after dramatic penalty shootout

Senapati, October 6: FC Fulloh were crowned champions of the Second Division District Football League after defeating Koziirii FC by 7–6 in a tense penalty shootout, following a goalless draw in regulation time at the AstroTurf Ground, Senapati.

Both teams showed exceptional discipline and determination throughout the 90 minutes play, with neither side able to break the deadlock. The match was eventually decided through a penalty shootout, where FC Fulloh held their composure to prevail after nine rounds, as Koziirii FC narrowly missed their final attempt.

The victory caps off a memorable season and highlighted the growing standard of football in the district. FC Fulloh’s teamwork and resilience throughout the campaign earned them the title, while Koziirii FC received commendation for their spirited performances and sportsmanship as worthy finalists.

Outstanding individual performances were also recognized during the league:

Lungchingkai – Golden Ball (Best Player of Koziirii FC)

Khangkinwibou – Golden Boot (Top Scorer of Kaozii FC)

Brooklyn Gonmei – Golden Glove (Best Goalkeeper of FC Fulloh)

With this, the Second Division District Football League concluded on Monday. The following teams are promoted for next season’s First Division District Football League:

  1. FC Fulloh
  2. Koziirii FC
  3. Hills Academy
  4. Kaozii FC

The District Sports Association, Senapati (DSA-S) congratulated the winners and runners-up of the 2nd Division District Football League, and extended their heartfelt appreciation to all the participated teams, match officials, sponsors, media partners, and spectators for their support and cooperation.
