Netizens got their first ever standalone Tangkhul news channel on Youtube with the launch of The Tangkhul Express on Friday. Chairman, ADC Ukhrul, Yaronsho Ngalung graced the occasion as Chief Guest in a low-key function held at Ukhrul, Manipur.
Speaking on the occasion, Yaronsho Ngalung lauded the commendable endeavor of the news channel in their attempt to do their bit for the society; while also impressing upon the young team the high expectations people have for The Tangkhul Express (TTE).
Talking about the launch, Ramngachan Ningshen, Founder-Director, The Tangkhul Express said, ‘Like any media organization, we strive to do our best in disseminating factual, objective information that matters to the audience. Our objective lies not in merely covering general news stories but focussing on our endeavour to give better media coverage towards community development”. “With this small but promising enterprise we hope to be a catalyst in bringing about positive changes in our society”, added Ningshen.
The Tangkhul express has been updating daily news on their youtube channel for over a month now.
The official launch program was also attended by Social Activist, YL Ravin as guest of honour, Member joint electricity Regulations Commission Mizoram & Manipur Nober Khayi as a Special Guest and Advisor to TTE, Ashang Kasar. Others in attendance were representatives from Ukhrul District Journalists Association, Tangkhul Naga Film Association, Tangkhul Music Forum, student bodies and community organizations along with a few friends and well-wishers.
