AGARTALA, NOV 12: Security personnel at Agartala’s Maharaja Bir Bikram Airport foiled a gold smuggling attempt on Tuesday, recovering seven gold biscuits worth around Rs 88 lakh concealed inside a passenger’s rectum.

According to CISF officials, the passenger was bound for Lucknow via Kolkata when he was intercepted during security checks. Following suspicion, Customs officials and a doctor from ILS Hospital were called in, and the concealed gold — weighing approximately 740 grams — was recovered.
