Governor Meets Tamenglong CSOs; Assures Support on Key Public Service Issues

Imphal, July 4: A joint Civil Society Organisations (CSOs) from Tamenglong met with the Governor on Friday putting forward four pressing issues requiring urgent attention.

A press release issued by the joint CSOs from Manipur’s Tamenglong District listed the four urgent matters, namely:

  1. NFSA backlog
  2. Staff shortage at District Hospital
  3. Incomplete construction of General Nurse Midwifery (GNM) Institute
  4. Delays in the Tamenglong 132/33kV substation project under NERPSIP, awarded to PGCIL

The joint CSOs said it appreciated the willingness of the Governor to address these critical concerns, adding that an ultimatum of five working days was given. The visiting team also added it “hopes and pray for the positive response from all the concern department.”

Raj Bhavan Manipur also said that representatives of the Rongmei Naga Council, Manipur, met with the Governor Ajay Kumar Bhalla at Raj Bhavan, to discuss ways to enhance public services and infrastructure in Tamenglong District. “The Governor assured them of full support and timely action for holistic development.” – wrote the X handle of Manipur Governor.
