Hongbei Incident: Total Shutdown Called at Kamjong HQ on March 31

UKHRUL: The Kamjong Student Union (KKL) has announced a total shutdown across Kamjong Headquarters on March 31, from 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM. This total shutdown is a mark of respect for the four Naga Army personnel who were killed in Hongbei village on March 28.

In a press statement, the student body expressed its deepest condolences and solidarity with the bereaved families of the victims involved in the tragic incident. “This shutdown is observed as a mark of respect for the four precious lives lost and is a way for us to stand in unwavering solidarity with their grieving families,” the student body stated.

Additionally, the Kamjong Student Union has assured its support in investigating the incident. “When we fail to identify the enemy, it will be our loss,” they emphasized, urging unity among all.

Essential services, including medical services and emergencies, as well as the Public Health Engineering Department (water supply) and the Electricity Department, will be exempted from the shutdown.

The Kamjong Student Union has sought the cooperation of the public during this period of mourning.
