Har Ghar Tiranga campaigns kick offs in Ukhrul

Ukhrul: Joining the rest of the country, Har Ghar Tiranga campaign began in full swing in Ukhrul district on Tuesday as the country celebrates completion of 75 years from the colonial British rule.

Students competed in slogan and painting competitions under the theme “Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav” and “Har Ghar Tiranga” at their respective schools.

Students and teachers hold the tri-colour national flag and placards written with catch phrase like “I love my country”, “Salute to freedom fighters”, “Relieved from bondage”, “One happiness”, “Independence brought freedom, Rights and liberty,” among others.

Ukhrul Central School, Somdal NK Higher Secondary School and Maringmi Memorial School participated in the event.

In keeping with the weeks long campaign, Krishna Kumar, IAS, deputy commissioner, Ukhrul has instructed all the District Level Officers (DLOs) to hoist the tri-colour national flag at their respective offices.

He has also further decided to hoist the national flags at every household, institutions (both private and government), anganwadi centres and hospitals all over the district during the weeklong campaign of Har Ghar Tiranga.

The ZEO and CEO/ADC are expected to organise quiz, rallies, debates and song competitions in all the schools and colleges until 15th of August 2022.

As the country celebrate “Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav” with the completion of 75 years of India’s Independence from the British colonial rule, Ukhrul district started the “Har Ghar Tiranga” campaign with the various government and private schools under Zonal Education Officer (ZEO), Ukhrul, a statement issued by DIO/DIPR added.
