Heavy storm destroys school in Razai village: Ukhrul

Ukhrul: A heavy storm on Tuesday night destroyed Razai Khullen Upper Primary School in Razai village, Ukhrul district, Manipur.

The villagers informed this correspondent that the school was constructed in 1983-84. The heavy storm that occurred on Tuesday night completely blew off the roof of the school building. At present, 52 students are enrolled in the said school.

The local villagers informed that the building was in a dilapidated condition and have approached the concerned authority numerous times for repair but no action was taken.

Razai villagers have appealed to the concerned authorities to kindly look into the matter at the earliest.
