Will Bollywood Star Himesh Reshammiya Perform at Milan Mela 2025 in Tripura?

Agartala: The upcoming Milan Mela festival will feature one of India’s most versatile entertainment personalities Himesh Reshammiya joined by other well-known local singers. Known for his exceptional talent as a playback singer, composer, and music director, Reshammiya is rumoured to be the main attraction at this four-day cultural extravaganza, which is expected to take place at the Milan Mela grounds in Fatikroy under Kumarghat Sub-division, Unakoti district of Tripura. While the dates for the 2025 edition are yet to be confirmed, the festival in 2024 was inaugurated on February 22. Later, on December 30, the Minister of the Animal Resources Development Department and MLA from the Fatikroy Assembly Constituency Sudhangshu Das stated on his official Facebook page that all the rumours spreading on social media, local newspapers, and local social media-based news channels were not true, as the organizers had not yet finalized the attendees.

Just after the live concert of India’s melody queen Shreya Ghoshal at Vivekananda Maidan here in Agartala, which drew more than 50,000 music lovers from across the state, the announcement of Himesh Reshammiya’s performance has generated significant buzz. Reshammiya has established himself as a multifaceted talent in the Indian music industry over the past two decades, earning acclaim as a singer, music director, composer, and actor. His distinctive contribution to Bollywood includes a remarkable period where he simultaneously composed, wrote, and performed numerous hit songs, cementing his position as a leading figure in the industry.

In the previous edition of Milan Mela, held in 2024, renowned Bollywood singers Akriti Kakkar and Ash King delivered stunning performances. However, addressing the growing rumours regarding the Milan Mela 2025, the Minister of Animal Resources Development Department and MLA from Fatikroy Assembly Constituency Sudhangshu Das clarified on his Facebook page, “News circulating on social media, newspapers and local social media channels claiming that renowned Bollywood playback singer Himesh Reshammiya will be attending the Milan Mela in Fatikroy is not true. The final list of attendees for the event has not yet been decided and we urge everyone not to spread confusion.”

While the details of the performers and dates are yet to be officially confirmed, the event is expected to be a grand celebration of culture and entertainment, promising to attract large crowds from across the state.
