Tangkhul lad Hormipam Ruivah has been voted by the Indian football fans as I League’s Fan’s Defender of the season for his stellar performance at the back for Punjab side Round Glass Punjab.

The 20 year old played 14 matches for Roundglass in the I League last season completing 90 interceptions, 131 ball recoveries, and making 216 challenges with an impressive 66% win rate. The youngster’s heroics at the back helped Roundglass to a fourth place finish in the league.

Hormipam’s impressive season with Roundglass has since earned him a move to ISL sides Kerala Blasters for whom he’s signed a three year deal. You can read Ukhrul Times’ exclusive interview with the youngster on his move to Kerala Blasters below.
