The COCOMI organized the event while alleging that the grievances of the people affected by the ongoing violence in the state remain unheard by the concerned authorities.

Earlier, COCOMI had announced that human chains would be formed in areas inhabited by the Meitei across the globe on Saturday night to make people aware that ‘what Manipur is facing right now is narco-terrorism’.

A large number of women came out on the streets across the twin capital districts of Imphal East and Imphal West and chanted slogans like “Save Manipur from narco-terrorists, Save territorial integrity of Manipur, abrogate SoO truce with the militants violating the ground rules, etc.”
