Hunphun Katamnao Long Conducts Successful Open Competition for School Students

UKHRUL, NOVEMBER 9: The Hunphun Katamnao Long (Ukhrul Students’ Union) has successfully conducted its Open Competition Examination for students from Classes VI to X, marking a significant milestone in its continued efforts to promote academic excellence among the youth of Ukhrul.

According to a press release issued by Zingvap Sareo, Publicity and Information Secretary of Hunphun Katamnao Long, a total of 20 schools participated in the competition, with around 800 students appearing for the examination. The event aimed to encourage academic growth, improve learning habits, and build confidence among students in a healthy, competitive atmosphere.

A distinctive highlight of this year’s competition was the inclusion of Naga History as a subject, emphasizing the importance of acquainting young learners with the rich cultural heritage and legacy of the Naga people. The Union stated that this inclusion reflects its commitment to preserving and promoting the unique identity of the Naga community.

The Union expressed heartfelt appreciation to all participating schools, teachers, invigilators, and volunteers for their cooperation and support, which contributed to the smooth and successful conduct of the event.

Results of the competition will be declared soon, and meritorious students will be recognized and awarded for their outstanding performances.
