Imphal: Inspector General of Manipur Police Clay Khongsai, IPS (MA: 1996) has been appointed as Inspector General in Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) against existing vacancy on deputation basis for a period of five years from the date of assumption of the charge of the post or until further orders, whichever is earlier.
As per direction from the Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India, Sanjeev Kumar, Under Secretary to the Government of India, conveyed approval of the competent authority for the appointment to Manipur Chief Secretary in a letter dated August 17.

The State Government has been requested to relieve Clay Khongsai immediately to enable him to take up his new assignments at the Centre.
