New Delhi, July 17 (SHABD): The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued weather alerts across several parts of the country, warning of heavy rainfall in eastern and northeastern states, while heatwave conditions are expected to persist in some northwestern and southern regions.
Odisha and Arunachal Pradesh remain under an Orange Alert for heavy rainfall, while Yellow Alerts have been issued for several other states.

At the same time, heatwave conditions are likely to continue in parts of Punjab, Haryana, Rajasthan, and Tamil Nadu, with the IMD advising people to follow weather advisories and take the necessary precautions.
