The Officer-in-charge of Shangshak police station under Ukhrul district, Inspector, Hopeson Chiphang was awarded the Best Police Officer Award, 2021 for his professional excellence and outstanding performance with a cash reward of Rs. 5,000 and a commendation certificate from L M Khaute, IPS Director General of Police, Manipur on Tuesday.

The award was part of the 130th Manipur Police Raising Day celebration held at Parade Ground of 1st Battalion Manipur Rifles in Imphal.

Inspector Hopeson Chiphang speaking to this reported said, “I’m elated and at the same time thankful to my superior officers for nominating me and recognizing my work for this prestigious award.”

The chief minister on 130th Manipur Police Raising Day occasion distributed awards, trophies and commendations to police officers on the occasion. T. Lalboi Haokip, MPS, Commandant, 7th Battalion Manipur Rifles received DGP Running Trophy for the Best Battalion 2021 with a cash reward of Rs. 15,000 and a DGP Commendation Certificate, Dr. Rashini Yengkhom, MPS, Commandant, 8th Indian Reserve Battalion received Second Best Battalion 2021 with Rs. 10,000 cash and a DGP Commendation Certificate and Thingnam Deshorjit, MPS, Deputy Commandant, 8th Battalion Manipur Rifles received Third Best Battalion 2021 consisting a cash reward of Rs. 5,000 and a DGP Commendation Certificate.

Inspector Kangjam Santosh Singh, Officer-in-charge, Khongjom police station received a cash reward of Rs. 15,000 and a commendation Certificate for Best Police Station 2021, Inspector Laishram Khogen Singh, Officer-in-charge, Jiribam police station received a cash reward of Rs. 10,000 and a commendation certificate for second Best Police Station 2021 and Inspector Maibam Sudhirkumar Meitei Officer-in-charge, city police station received a cash reward of Rs. 5,000 and a commendation certificate.
