Jason Jajo Appointed President of NPST Front, NPP Manipur; Kamjong-Ukhrul Unit Congratulates

Ukhrul: Jason Jajo has been appointed as the President of the National People’s Party Scheduled Tribe (NPST) Front within the National People’s Party (NPP) Manipur State Unit. Following his appointment, the Kamjong-Ukhrul unit has extended its congratulations.

The appointment order was issued on 20th March by Dr. Lorho S. Pfoze, President of NPP Manipur, in exercise of the provision of Article 9.4 of the Party Constitution and approval accorded by the National Working President on 19th March, 2026. Jason Jajo will take charge with immediate effect.

Extending its heartfelt congratulations to Jason Jajo, the NPP Ukhrul-Kamjong Unit stated that Mr. Jajo brings with him vast experience in both public and social service. The unit stated that he had served as an Executive Member (Phungva) of the Tangkhul Naga Long (TNL) and has been actively associated with several NGOs working in tribal areas as a Community Mobilizer. Before joining the NPP, he was also a senior party worker of the Indian National Congress (INC), it added.

Further, extending its best wishes, the unit expressed confidence that under his leadership, the NPST Front will continue to strengthen and serve the aspirations of the tribal community in the state.
