Jessami Village Council expresses gratitude to NHIDCL for repairing NH 29

Ukhrul: The Jessami Village Council had expressed its profound gratitude to the NHIDCL for constructing the 12.5 km long National Highway 29 road stretch starting from Lanye bridge to Jessami village in north of Ukhrul district.

Anizote Mekrishu, JVC chairman maintained that NH 29 is the only road for the people of Jessami village in Manipur and Meluri ADC headquarter and Kephire district of Nagaland, especially for people travelling to Kohima and Dimapur from the commercial hub.

Mekrishu then acknowledged the commendable service rendered by Lt Col J Shelly, General Manager, NHIDCL PMU- Ukhrul when the villagers and area people need it the most.

“Earlier, due to deep potholes in various places, many vehicles got damaged and the drivers had a hard time crossing the highway. However, as the road is repaired and the potholes fixed, the tell tale joyful expression on the faces of travellers is noticeable,” he said while expressing his profound gratitude and appreciation to J Shelly and his team for the commendable service.

He then prayed and wished that Almighty God continue to shower good health and guide his family as it continue to deliver good samaritan work.
