Justice Biswadeep Bhattacharjee takes oath as additional judge of Meghalaya High Court

Shillong, Aug 1: Justice Biswadeep Bhattacharjee today took the oath of office as additional judge of the Meghalaya High Court.

The oath was administered by Chief Justice of the Meghalaya High Court Sanjib Banerjee.

Bhattacharjee was born on March 26, 1968, at Shillong and completed his LLB from North Eastern Hill University, Shillong.

He joined the Bar and practised as an advocate from September 1993. Prior to his elevation, he served as an additional advocate general (AAG) of Meghalaya with effect from September 6, 2018, and while serving in the said post he was also designated as a senior advocate on September 24, 2023, by the Meghalaya High Court.
