Ukhrul, June 10: The Kamjong Students’ Union, in collaboration with local chairmen, secretaries, and citizens from various localities of Kamjong district headquarters, have undertaken the task of repairing the Kamjong District Hospital road as concerned government authorities continue to neglect the critical lifeline for medical emergencies and healthcare access.

Due to prolonged inaction and indifference from responsible government bodies the road leading to the district hospital had become completely impassable, risking the lives and well-being of the people in the district, especially during medical emergencies.

Under the leadership of the Kamjong Students’ Union and with the support of local authorities and concerned citizens, road repair works commenced as a voluntary initiative. This collective effort is not only a testament to the community’s resilience and unity but also a call for immediate accountability and intervention from the government.

The people of Kamjong district urged the concerned departments to recognize their responsibilities and take urgent action and demanded proper road connectivity to the district hospital as a basic right, not a privilege.
