UKHRUL: The Kuki Inpi Manipur (KIM) on Tuesday opened its 2025 General Assembly at Hengbung village, bringing together community leaders and delegates for a four-day session that will run until December 4.
The programme began with KIM president Pu Ch. Ajang Khongsai unveiling the Assembly Monolith, followed by the hoisting of the KIM flag. A brief consecration prayer was led by Dr. T. Lunkim.

Pu Haokholet Kipgen, Chief of Hengbung and MLA of 51-Saitu, released the KIM Souvenir during the inaugural function. The publication highlights recent activities and priorities of the organisation.
In his presidential address, Khongsai stressed the need for unity and a coordinated approach as the Kuki community confronts ongoing challenges. He said the Assembly would focus on key issues including administrative matters, welfare concerns, and ways to strengthen and preserve Kuki identity.

Deliberations on the listed agendas continued through the day. KIM said the annual Assembly remains an important forum for setting directions and reviewing the organisation’s work for the year ahead.
