Lamkang Students’ Union Congratulates Darpol Sankhil Tuisang for National Football Triumph

Chandel, May 28: The Lamkang Students’ Union (Lamkang Kurchuknao Kunpun – LKK) has extended heartfelt congratulations to Darpol Sankhil Tuisang for his outstanding performance in the recently concluded Swami Vivekananda Men’s U20 National Football Championship 2025. Representing Delhi FC, Darpol played a pivotal role in the team’s successful title defense.

Hailing from Thamlapokpi village in Chandel District, Darpol is the son of Moses Sankhil. His remarkable achievement in leading Delhi FC to a 4-2 victory over Mizoram in the final has earned widespread praise. Notably, he also scored one of the four goals during the semi-final clash against the Sports Authority of India (SAI), underlining his contribution to the team’s success.

The 2025 championship marks the second consecutive win for Delhi FC, having also secured the inaugural title in May 2024, where Darpol netted the decisive goal. This year’s tournament featured 35 teams divided into eight groups and was held from 10th April to 27th May 2025 at RK Mission Ashrama Ground, Narainpur, Chhattisgarh.

Currently signed to Sudeva Delhi FC, Darpol’s rise in Indian football has been hailed as inspirational by many in his community. The LKK noted that winning the National Football Championship title twice in a row is nothing short of miraculous, both for the club and for Darpol as an individual athlete.
