Ukhrul: Five member team led by Bilashini Chanu, Scientific Officer, Mobile Forensic Unit, Imphal East has arrived at Ukhrul and is at the spot, carrying out necessary investigation where a dead body identified as Rajen Konsam (around 60 years), s/o Chaoba Konsam of Leitanpokpi Pukhao, Imphal East was discovered on Tuesday morning.

Another object, covered in a light blue stripe cloth tied with a rope, suspected to be an explosive item has been found in the right pocket of the deceased.

The Ukhrul Police and Mobile Forensic Team are waiting for the bomb squad to verify the object.

Bilashini Chanu informed that they are entrusted with post blast analysis and not with disposal of explosive materials.
