Liangmai organizations re-affirm support to the NSCN-IM

Liangmai organizations in Manipur have reiterated their “unflinching” support to the NSCN-IM under the leadership of Q. Tuccu and Th. Muivah.

Liangmai Naga Council (LNC), Liangmai Naga Katimai Ruangdi (LNKR) and Liangmai Pui Naga Ruangdi (LPNR) said this in their joint press statement on Saturday. 

The three Liangmai organizations then reiterated their stand and said that they “do not see a possible Naga solution without flag and constitution”.

According to the three Liangmai bodies, they held a meeting at Tamei recently where numerous chairmen, secretaries of various Liangmai villages and public leaders of the community participated. The meeting reaffirmed their full support to the “ongoing Indo -Naga talks with the full hope of achieving the goal soon”.

“Apart from the resolution to uphold the mandate of the NSCN IM, Dr. Hunibou also spoke about the essence of ‘nation building’”, the press note also said.

The meeting then dwelt on other issues including environment, village border disputes etc. etc., said the press statement.

Meanwhile, Liangmai Naga Council, Liangmai Naga Katimai Ruangdi and Liangmai Pui Naga Ruangdi congratulated Parangkamlubou, the new Central Administrative Officer (CAO ) of Makuilongdi Zeliangrong Region of the NSCN-IM.
