LNKR Supports Govt Order, Vows to Safeguard Langmei Higher Secondary School

Imphal, Apr 4: The Liangmai Naga Katimai Ruangdi (LNKR) or Liangmai Students’ Union, along with its constituent units, Tamei Headquarters Students’ Union, Chiang Students’ Union, and Malek Students’ Union, expressed deep concern and unwavering commitment to the upliftment of Langmei Higher Secondary School, Tamei.

The students’ bodies said they firmly uphold the principle that the welfare and development of students will never be compromised. “Our dedication to ensuring academic excellence and holistic growth of the institution remains resolute, and we will leave no stone unturned in the pursuit of this mission”, they also said.

In compliance to the order issued by the Government of Manipur, office of the Deputy Commissioner, Tamenglong district, vide its letter no. DC (TML) 5/1/86-87/Vol. III dated 25th March, 2025 show cause for illegal occupation within Langmei Higher Secondary School, Tamei sub-division, Tamenglong, the LNKR and its constituent student bodies said they fully endorse and support the directive.

“We stand committed to ensuring its effective and timely implementation, recognizing its importance for the welfare and advancement of both students and the institution,” the student bodies added.

The student bodies then appealed to all individuals and stakeholders to extend their full support toward the initiatives undertaken by the concerned authorities. The LNKR and its constituent unions said they will closely monitor all developmental projects allotted to Langmei Higher Secondary School and ensure their transparent and effective execution. Timely implementation is crucial to securing tangible progress and uplifting the entire community, they added.

However, the student bodies said they are deeply disturbed by recent incidents involving the misuse and damage of the boy’s hostel constructed at Khomlong, Tamei. “Such irresponsible and unacceptable actions undermine the integrity of our society. The LNKR, alongside its units, strongly condemns these acts”, they further added.

The student bodies then urged all citizens to uphold their civic duties and treat public property with respect. Any individual found engaging in acts of vandalism will be held accountable and dealt with according to the law, they warned.
