Ukhrul: Member of Parliament at Rajya Sabha and Manipur’s titular Maharaja Leishemba Sanajaoba on Thursday paid a visit to Hungpung Village in Ukhrul District.

The Maharaja came to seek blessings from his Elder brother, Hungpung as reported by Ekhon TV Facebook in preparation for his parliamentarian assignment.

Hungpung Chief Khayaiwo AS Wungayung bestowed his sacred blessings to the younger brother Maharaja at Hungpung, Kalangshim as reported by the lone TV channel in Ukhrul district.

Manipur’s titular king Maharaja Leishemba Sanajaoba was sworn in as a Member of Parliament, Rajya Sabha in New Delhi in July defeating Congress candidate T Mangibabu. Maharaja Leishemba Sanajaoba took the oath in Manipuri language and vowed to safeguard the Indian Constitution by taking the name of Lord Sanamahi, Pakhangba and Govinda.
