Major Bob Khathing Memorial Football Tournament: Sadar Hills Football Association to Face Ngairei FC in Final

SENAPATI: The final match of the Major Bob Khathing Memorial Football Tournament is scheduled to take place on January 31 at the Senapati Astro Turf Football Ground, concluding the memorial sporting event.

The championship match will witness Sadar Hills Football Association face Ngairei FC, both teams having demonstrated skill, discipline, and consistency to reach the final stage. The encounter is expected to attract keen interest from football supporters of the district.

Organised in honour of Major Bob Khathing, a celebrated soldier, administrator, and statesman, the tournament commemorated his enduring legacy of service and leadership. The event aims to encourage sportsmanship, promote youth engagement, and strengthen community spirit through football.

Since its inception, the tournament has received strong public response and participation from across the district. A sizable gathering of spectators is anticipated for the final match. Third place playoffs between Menson FC and Kuki Rising FA have also been scheduled on January 31 at 8 am. 

Football lovers and members of the public have been invited to attend the grand finale.
