UKHRUL: Athletes from Manipur delivered an exceptional performance on the global arena at the 10th World Junior Wushu Championship 2026 in China, bringing home three gold, one silver, and two bronze medals.
Upendro Thongam (Boys’ Junior 45kg), Nongmaithem Pamheiba Singh (Boys’ Junior 52kg), and Loitongbam Victor (Boys’ Youth 52kg) clinched three gold medals respectively; Konthoujam Devikarani secured silver and bronze (Taolu), while Lanchenbi Chanu Rajkumari won bronze (Taolu).
“Your achievements are a testament to dedication, discipline, and the indomitable sporting spirit of Manipur,” the Government of Manipur took to X to congratulate the athletes who have uplifted the nation through their art forms.

In a similar sporting spirit, Lanchenbi Chanu Rajkumari (Changquan) and Linthoingambi (Taijiquan) are set to represent India at the Youth Olympic Games, Dakar 2026, a significant milestone that underscores the rising prominence of Manipur’s athletes on the world stage.
“Manipur celebrates this outstanding medal haul with great pride. May you continue to scale greater heights and inspire generations to come,” the Government of Manipur added.
