UKHRUL: House-listing operations for the Census of India 2027 in Manipur are scheduled to take place between September 1 and September 30, 2026, according to an official notification.

As per the notification, the house listing operations of Census of India 2027 will take place between September 1 and September 30, during a period of 30 days with an option for self-enumeration, which shall be conducted in a 15-day time period between August 17 to August 31, just before the start of house listing operations.

The house-listing operations notice was issued on March 22 amid calls for deferment of the census exercise due to concerns over the identification of illegal immigrants and the demand for implementation of the National Register of Citizens (NRC) in the state.
