Manipur Congress launches two digital platform to hear people’s grievances

Imphal: The Congress party in Manipur launched a digital platform “Sarkar Taribra (Is government listening)” and “INC YouTube channel” on Wednesday to counter the chief minister’s “CM Da Haisi (Let’s tell to CM)”.

It can be mentioned here that on October 12, Chief minister N Biren Singh launched ‘CM Da Haisi’ – a platform through which citizens can directly send in their grievances to the chief minister.

The Congress launched its “Sarkar Taribra” and “INC YouTube channel” to check the efficiency and effectiveness of the BJP-led coalition government.

Through the ‘INC YouTube Channel’, the Congress “keyboard warriors” will upload the grievances of the public as well as highlight whether people are really getting the benefit of “CM da Haisi” programme.

AICC general secretary (Manipur in-charge), Bhakta Charan Das launched the digital platform at a function held at Rishang Keishing Media Centre in Congress Bhavan today.

Das is currently camping in Imphal along with former Union minister Jai Ram Ramesh to review poll preparedness of the party in the poll-bound Manipur.

Speaking at the launching function, the AICC Manipur in-charge asked whether the BJP-led coalition government is running a dictatorial government in the state.

He alleged that the BJP is running a government in the state without any majority. The BJP-led coalition government has no moral right to run the government further.

“By using muscles by dictatorial latitude, they are running this government,” he added.
Das also questioned whether chief minister N Biren Singh is following the rule of business of a government.

He said that the state government is to implement the welfare schemes under rules of business, government of Manipur under Article 166.
Whether the Manipur chief minister is unaware that a government cannot be run by the wishes of a man, he said.

The AICC Manipur in-charge, then, urged the people to contact Sarka Taribara and communicate their feeling to the party.

“Highlight your grievances which are ignored by the government on this platform.  We will keep your details secret,” he assured.

According to Das, there are thousands of people living their issues which are ignored by the incumbent government.

“The incumbent government is busy in manipulating and running the government somehow and other means without addressing the grievances of the people”, he alleged.

Das further mocked the BJP-led government’s promise rooting out corruption while asking how many corrupted officers had been punished in this more than four and half years of its tenure.

The AICC leader further ridiculed the chief minister’s “CM da Haisi” platform saying that it is an attempt to get in touch with the voters only.

The launching function was also attended by Manipur Pradesh Congress Committee (MPCC) president N Loken and leaders of the MPCC among others.
