Manipur Congress to join ‘Tiranga Rally’

Imphal, May 8: The Manipur Pradesh Congress Committee (MPCC) will also join the ‘Tiranga Rally’ to show solidarity to the Indian armed forces on Friday, even as tension heightens between India and Pakistan.

Announcing this today at the office of the MPCC in Imphal, N. Bupenda Meitei, AICC member and senior spokesperson, alongwith senior vice president of the MPCC, Vidyapati Senjam and vice president Hareshwar Goshwami, said that the members of the Congress party will hold the Indian national flag and hold the rallies nationwide.

Buependa Meitei said the Congress party stands firmly with the armed forces. He said that the MPCC members will carry out the ‘Tiranga Rally’ in Imphal on May 9 under the leadership of the MPCC president, K Meghachandra.

Workers of the Congress party in a large number are expected to participate in the rally. The MPCC leaders also appealed to the public to join the rally.
