Addressing the convocation ceremony, the Governor said that the first convocation of Dhanamanjuri University, held after eight years since its establishment, marked a significant milestone in the institution’s growth. He expressed satisfaction over the large physical participation of graduating students and observed that a convocation was not merely an academic ritual but a celebration of perseverance, learning, and achievement, made meaningful by the sacrifices and support of families. The Governor noted that the graduates would henceforth serve as ambassadors of the university and urged them to uphold its values through their conduct, competence, and character wherever they go.
The Governor further said that the university has made notable progress in recent years, particularly in infrastructure development, quality of academic delivery, graduation outcomes, and institutional governance, reflecting a positive direction.
Emphasising the wider role of universities in a rapidly changing world, he stated that institutions must equip students not only with academic knowledge but also with adaptability, ethical judgement, and a spirit of lifelong learning, while remaining rooted in the cultural and social context of Manipur. Reiterating the state government’s keen interest in developing Dhanamanjuri University into a strong and vibrant centre of higher learning, he encouraged the graduating students to serve the society and the nation with integrity and dedication, and conveyed his best wishes for their future endeavours.
Vineet Joshi, who is the chief speaker of the Convocation, extended best wishes to the graduating students and termed the ceremony as a matter of pride for all stakeholders. Joshi also acknowledged that five batches were graduating together due to the university’s relatively young age.
He further expressed confidence that the graduates would make meaningful contributions to society. “Together, we must work to improve the state and create opportunities for the younger generation,” he said.
