Manipur extends lockdown till August 15

UT News Service | Imphal, August 6: Manipur state government in a cabinet meeting chaired by chief minister N Biren Singh reviewed the worsening situation of the pandemic in the state on Thursday extended lockdown in the state till August 15, in continuation of the order dated August 6, to the entire state or until further notice as per the orders issued by the State Executive Committee of the State Disaster Department Management Authority.
Manipur has been under total lockdown since July 23 after COVID-19


The decision was taken due to the rising number of COVID-19 infections in the state among people who have no history of travel outside of the state.
