Manipur: Man dies from electrocution while attempting to drain flood water

Imphal: In a tragic incident, a man died after being electrocuted while attempting to pump out flood water from his house in Keishamthong Thanjam Leikai, Imphal West District. The incident occurred on May 31, around 10 AM.

The deceased, identified as Ingudam Nitai Singh, suffered a fatal electric shock due to a short circuit. His wife, Ingudam Ongbi Geetarani, was also injured in the incident and is currently undergoing treatment in the ICU of Advanced Hospital.

Nitai Singh, who had a heart condition and was implanted with a pacemaker, collapsed upon receiving the electric shock. His wife, Geetarani, was electrocuted when she touched him and is now in critical condition.
