Manipur Police Extends ₹1 Crore Support to Family of Late Constable Sanjit Singh

UKHRUL: The family of Late Constable Soibam Sanjit Singh has been granted ₹1 crore under the police salary package scheme, in accordance with the MoU between Manipur Police and the State Bank of India.

Constable Singh lost his life in July 2025 while on duty at Sagoltongba in Imphal West. In a message shared on X, Manipur Police stated that he served with sincerity, dedication, and unwavering commitment, adding that his untimely demise is a significant loss to both the department and the public.

A formal cheque handover ceremony was held today at the Office of the Superintendent of Police, Imphal West. The event was attended by L. Kailun, IPS, Additional Director General of Police (L&O), along with other senior officials. The cheque was presented by Kh. Okendra Singh, Regional Manager, SBI Imphal.

Manipur Police expressed gratitude to the State Bank of India for its timely support and solidarity with the bereaved family. The department also reaffirmed its continued commitment to the welfare of its personnel and their families, acknowledging the sacrifices made in the line of duty.
