Manipur Reports 13 New COVID-19 Cases on June 26, No Deaths

Ukhrul, June 26: The Government of Manipur has reported 13 new COVID-19 cases as of June 26, taking the total number of active cases in the state to 149.

Per official data released on Wednesday, the new cases include 6 from Imphal West, 5 from Imphal East, 1 from Thoubal, and 1 from Bishnupur.

From June 1 to June 26, a total of 653 samples have been tested, with 202 testing positive. Of these, 53 patients have been discharged so far, while no fatalities have been recorded.

On June 26 alone, 16 patients recovered and were discharged. All 149 active cases are currently under home isolation, reflecting the relatively mild nature of the infections in this current wave.

The state government has appealed to the public to remain calm and continue adhering to COVID-appropriate behaviour such as masking, hand hygiene, and social distancing.
